Midseason of ACL VX has finally arrived, hopefully bringing a clearer playoff picture. Former ACL Champions, American Outlaws, tops the standings after Week 3 as Messi leads the league with 13 goals scored, although a couple teams below them, like Rare Footage and Viva have less games played. Viva are still playing well behind a backline that has only conceded 9 goals all season. Their front three together has accumulated 16 goals and 14 assists, while also seeing good production from the midfield and Aztecas tied with the most goals this season by a defender. Bananaz make a somewhat surprising entrance into the Top 3, although their consistent play has produced an average of 2 points a game for this past week.

Rare Footage may be in 4th currently at midseason but expect to see this team move up quickly, especially after cleaning up their makeup game schedule. Africa’s (rF Kluivert) move to Rare Footage has sparked his season, as he is already responsible for 9 goals since his transfer (5 goals, 4 assists). The Bang Bros and Kinetic sit at 28 points in 5th and 6th respectively but with all 18 games played. Right on their heels, lurks Elusive (27 points, 16 GP), Eclipse (25 points, 15 GP), and Never Unlucky (25 points, 15 GP). Elusive struggled this week, dropping from 2nd to 7th after only picking up 6 points in 6 games. Eclipse’s offense is, surprisingly, in a huge slump, while their defense has still only conceded 6 goals in 15 games played. They have now been shut out in more than half of their games. It is apparent that someone other that EcF Thibeault (9 goals) needs to start scoring and quickly. NU brought home 13 points in 6 games, allowing them to jump from 12th place into a more suitable position to make playoffs like expected.

Arrechos round out the Top 10 with 20 points from 15 games. When their games are made up, they have a small possibility of sliding into the last playoff spot but they are going to need lots of help. Dumptruck sit in a more respectable position than 2nd to last, but still have a lot of work to do to climb into the top half of the table and fight for a playoff spot. Footy, after its mass forced exodus, picked up absolutely ZERO points in 5 games during Week 3 and so have dropped 7th to 13th, only topping Prestige on Goal Differential. Prestige has struggled to find the back of the net and find themselves as one of the only 3 teams with single-digit goals scored through Week 3. The other two (Foreplay and The Four Aces) seem to be headed for automatic relegation.

We have 3 more weeks and 15 make-up games left of the season. There remains plenty of time not only for strong playoff pushes, but also complete playoff collapses. Good luck to everyone in Week 4!
